Many of our first-time clients have questions about coming to the waxing studio, especially when it comes to getting ready for the appointment. We’ve provided answers to a few of the most common questions:
- Leave Tanning for Later! Do not tan or spray tan before your service, and avoid coming in with a sunburn! If you spray tan before you wax, waxing will remove the spray tan when it exfoliates your dead skin cells. Since your skin will be freshly exfoliated, you should get great results from a spray tan AFTER your waxing service.
- Lots of Gain with No Pain! There’s no need for a pain reliever when you visit our waxing studio for an appointment. Numbing creams should also be avoided because they will cause you to feel the heat of the wax more intensely. Besides, our hard wax formula makes your whole experience a comfortable one!
- Hold Off on Adult Drinks. It’s important to avoid drinking alcohol prior to your appointment because it can cause dehydration. When you are dehydrated, your skin becomes more sensitive to pain. Instead, make a date with your friends for a drink after your appointment to show off your new skin!
- Exfoliate – We recommend that you exfoliate at least once a week to remove dead skin cells and to keep ingrown hairs at bay. If you are unsure and need product recommendations, stop in and speak to a member of our staff or pick up one of our products to help you prep for your service.
