Your eyebrows frame your face and can highlight you best features, making microblading a great option if you want to ditch your eyebrow pencil or if your brows were over-plucked or have thinned out over the years. While eyebrows are definitely an “it” item in the cosmetic world at the moment, they’re not as easy to change as a haircut, so before your microblading appointment, you should carefully consider the best eyebrow shape to bring out your facial features.

Microblading

  • Square—If you have a square jaw and an angular face shape, softly rounded brows are the way to go. Avoid shaping your brows into an overly-angular shape, as this will make your face look too harsh. You should also avoid an overly rounded brow shape.
  • Round—If you have a rounded face shape, go for a brow shape that adds definition to your facial bone structure. For example, a more angular brow with a higher arch would probably look great. Be careful of overly round brows because they can make your face look even rounder.
  • Long—Since a long face has features that are spread out vertically, it’s important to balance your face by playing with the horizontal axis. We recommend extending your brow’s tails a little bit beyond your eye’s corner, but don’t go too far, or your eyes will look droopy.
  • Heart—If you have a heart-shaped face, you have a petite jaw and a heavier top half. To balance out both parts of your face, keep your brow compact and controlled (but don’t go too thin!).
